This notice explains how personal data is processed when you visit marcbaechtold.com, send a project inquiry or purchase a digital product.

2. Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted in Germany by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. When the website is requested, the hosting infrastructure necessarily processes technical data such as IP address, date and time, requested resource, referrer, browser, operating system, response status and transferred data volume. This processing is required to deliver the website, maintain security and diagnose faults (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log data is retained only as long as necessary for these purposes or statutory obligations.

3. Project inquiries and email

When you use the inquiry form or contact us by email, we process the information you provide, including name, email address, organisation, project focus, timing and message. The data is used to answer your inquiry, prepare requested pre-contractual steps and communicate about a possible project (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The website form sends the message by email and does not create a separate inquiry database record. Data is deleted when the inquiry has been resolved unless a contract or legal retention duty requires longer storage.

4. Digital-product orders

The hidden preset and LUT shop uses Easy Digital Downloads. For an order we process the information required to operate the cart, complete payment, deliver files, issue receipts, provide support and meet accounting or tax obligations. This can include name, email and billing details, ordered products, price, currency, transaction reference, technical fraud-prevention data and order status. Processing is based on contract performance (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR) and the security of the shop (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Order and accounting records are retained for the applicable statutory period.

5. Payment providers

If you choose PayPal, the data required to process the payment is transmitted to PayPal. PayPal processes payment and fraud-prevention data under its own responsibility; see the PayPal Privacy Statement.

If you choose a card or other method provided through Stripe, the data required to process the payment is transmitted to Stripe. Stripe may act as processor and as independent controller for regulated payment, security and fraud-prevention activities; see the Stripe Privacy Policy.

Payment data is sent to the selected provider only when you initiate that payment method. We do not receive or store complete card credentials.

6. Necessary cookies and local storage

The website uses only storage that is technically required for website security, WordPress administration, consent-state handling and shop/cart/checkout functions. There is currently no audience analytics, advertising pixel, embedded map or embedded social-media feed. Payment providers may use technically necessary storage when their checkout is initiated. 7. Recipients and international transfers

Data is disclosed only where required for hosting, email delivery, payment processing, file delivery, professional advice or compliance with law. Where a recipient processes data outside the European Economic Area, the provider is responsible for an applicable adequacy mechanism or other safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. 8. Your rights

Subject to the legal requirements, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability and information about recipients. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent with future effect. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for non-public bodies in Baden-Württemberg is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg.

9. Security and changes

The website uses HTTPS and appropriate technical and organisational measures. No internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. This notice is updated when services, processing activities or legal requirements materially change.
