The goal for this collaboration was the production of marketing content for worldwide use by the Hong Kong Tourism Board. Because social reach was well appreciated as well, I brought in my partner ‘GoPro’ too – as a sponsor for equipment and as a publisher for any produced media through their social media platform with over 10 Mio subscribers. This campaign shows well how great teamwork can lead to phenomenal results.
Everyone knows that Hong Kong is a vibrant city, and a major gateway to China. But did you know that 262 islands belong to Hong Kong and that less than 25% of the land is developed?
Within 7 days my model and I tried to explore as much hiking trails and mountains as possible and put together short ‘GoPro only’- videos of our experiences in the green areas, the old town and with the new development areas around the city harbour.
These photos are being used now for large scale prints or social media work.
As a very good partner of mine, GoPro is always happy to receive great quality content for their social media channels. For the Hong Kong Tourism Board it was a great bonus to get the reach from GoPro’s international and national channels across the globe with a total of 16 posts on Facebook and 7 posts on Instagram. That’s why all the content was shot on a GoPro Hero6 using GoPro’s Karma Grip and drone.

In addition to the social media work done during and after the production in Hong Kong, I attended the ITB in Berlin to present Hong Kong during the visitor days.
